Orientation

She struggles with her sexuality,
trying to find out where belongs.
Love isn’t easy, to her it’s rather hard.
Boy’s or Girls? It’s rather confusing.
Society always looking at her back,
and her parents wont stand at her side.

The secrets that she keeps,
sometimes turns into lies.
How does she tell you, what she feels inside?
Does she even tell you at all?
If she ever tells you,
can she trust you to keep it to your self?

At one point in time, she used to believe in God.
Now in her eyes, it’s a just a bunch of lies,
and now that she’s older, she’s trying to question.
“why am I the one who is damned?
is it because I love woman instead?”

To some, it doesn’t matter, they’ll give her a shrug,
and to others it’s a mortal sin.
In some countries they will kill,
a few will allow her to marry,
and whatever is the rest, will treat her like second class.

In the end, to her it doesn’t matter.
What she feels inside, is a feeling that only comes natural.
Love is just a feeling.
Gay or straight, it’s whatever her heart desires.
